Editorial Standards
Last updated September 2, 2026
Business Future Today covers the companies, technologies and shifts changing business. Our standard is simple: tell readers what changed, what is known, what is uncertain and why it matters.
Sourcing
Factual claims should be grounded in identifiable sources such as original company material, filings, research, official statements, credible reporting or direct evidence. We prefer primary sources where practical and link to source material when it helps readers verify the story.
Reporting and interpretation
We distinguish reported facts from analysis, inference and opinion. Headlines should reflect the substance of the story rather than manufacture certainty or drama.
Automation and AI-assisted tools
Automation is part of our production system. AI-assisted tools may help with research organization, drafting, summarization, translation, image processing, metadata and distribution. Machine output is not a source and should not be used to invent quotations, facts, people or evidence.
Synthetic or generated imagery should not be presented as documentary evidence of a real event. Where the nature of an image would materially affect a reasonable reader's understanding, we disclose or contextualize it.
Bylines and editorial personas
Some bylines may identify an individual author; others may represent a BFT editorial desk or publication persona used consistently across a coverage area. A desk/persona byline is an editorial label, not a claim that a fictional person personally witnessed or interviewed sources.
Commercial independence
Paid placements and sponsorships should be distinguishable from independent editorial coverage. Commercial relationships do not entitle a company to favorable conclusions or advance approval of independent editorial copy.
Images and rights
We use owned, licensed, permissioned or editorially appropriate media under a documented source policy. Credits and source information are included when required or useful.
Corrections
When a material factual error is identified, we aim to correct it promptly. Material changes may receive a correction or update note; minor typographic or formatting fixes may be corrected silently. See our Corrections Policy.
