Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2, 2026
Business Future Today is an independent publication operated by Doğu Taşkıran ("BFT", "we", "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal data when you read the site, subscribe, contact us, or interact with analytics and advertising.
What we collect
Newsletter data. We store your email, subscription status, interests or frequency, signup source, consent record, timestamps and an unsubscribe token. We keep an event ledger so we can demonstrate and respect your choices.
Site and security data. Hosting, CDN and security providers may process request metadata such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps and URLs for delivery, abuse prevention and security.
Analytics and advertising. Google Analytics is disabled until you allow Analytics. Advertising technology is disabled until you allow Advertising. If enabled, those providers may process device, identifier and usage data for the selected purpose.
Correspondence. If you email us, we process what you send so we can respond and keep appropriate records.
Why and on what basis
We use data to provide requested newsletters, maintain subscriptions and opt-outs, secure and operate the publication, measure readership when you consent, run advertising when you consent, respond to requests, enforce our terms and comply with law. Depending on applicable law, our bases include consent, a service you requested, legitimate interests in operating and securing BFT, and legal obligations.
Service providers and transfers
We use Vercel for web hosting, Cloudflare for media/CDN infrastructure, our MailMesh email infrastructure and Amazon SES for outbound mail, and Google services only when the relevant consent is enabled. Providers may process data outside Türkiye or the EEA under their applicable transfer safeguards and contractual arrangements.
Automation and AI-assisted tools are part of editorial production, but newsletter subscriber lists are not supplied to AI models for article generation.
Retention
We keep active subscriber records while you remain subscribed. After unsubscribe, we retain a limited suppression and consent record as reasonably necessary to honor the opt-out, prevent accidental resubscription, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Security and provider logs are kept according to operational need and provider settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. Rights under Türkiye's Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and GDPR-style laws may apply.
Send privacy requests to privacy@businessfuture.today. We may need to verify your identity.
Children and changes
BFT is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under 16. We may update this policy as the publication, providers or law changes; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
